If you use sharps (medical devices with sharp points or edges, such as needles or lancets for diabetes), it’s your responsibility to dispose of them safely.
To prevent injury to yourself and others, please only dispose of sharps in a medical sharps bin, which you should have been given by your GP or hospital.
If you don’t have a sharps bin of your own, please ask us and we will advise you how to dispose of your sharps safely.
Full sharps bins should either be collected from your home by the local council or returned to a hospital, GP or your local pharmacy. If you are unsure of how to dispose of your sharps bin in the area in which you live, please visit your local day Lewis pharmacy today.
