Prescriptions

Pharmacy First Service

From the 31st of January 2024, your local Day Lewis pharmacist can treat you for seven common conditions without you needing to visit your GP. Under the NHS Pharmacy First Service you can be treated for urine infection, sinusitis, ear infection, impetigo, sore throat, shingles, and infected insect bite. Our highly qualified pharmacists can provide over the counter or prescription treatment for these conditions. We provide effective treatments for a range of minor ailments. Do you have a cough or cold? Is your eczema flaring up? Or perhaps your baby is suffering from nappy rash. Whatever the issue, call in to see if our pharmacy team can help. We provide assistance with smoking cessation too, and you can come to us for a confidential consultation on erectile dysfunction. Is wearing face masks in the pharmacy still compulsory?

Masks are no longer mandatory in our pharmacies; our colleagues and patients have the choice if they would like to wear one or not. Please respect all individuals’ choices.
