Pharmacy First Service

From the 31st of January 2024, your local Day Lewis pharmacist can treat you for seven common conditions without you needing to visit your GP. Under the NHS Pharmacy First Service you can be treated for urine infection, sinusitis, ear infection, impetigo, sore throat, shingles, and infected insect bite. Our highly qualified pharmacists can provide over the counter or prescription treatment for these conditions. Do I need to book an appointment for services?

Speak to your pharmacy team and they can advise you on which services you will need to book an appointment for, if any.

Is wearing face masks in the pharmacy still compulsory?

Masks are no longer mandatory in our pharmacies; our colleagues and patients have the choice if they would like to wear one or not. Please respect all individuals’ choices.
