How to Take Strepsils Original Lozenges: Always take Strepsils Original Lozenges exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Strepsils Original Lozenges are for short-term use only – you should take the lowest dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms. Adults and children over the age of 6 years old should slowly dissolve one lozenge in the mouth every 2-3 hours up to a maximum of 12 lozenges in 24 hours. If symptoms haven’t improved after 3 days of taking Strepsils Original Lozenges, consult a doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist.

When should Strepsils Original Lozenges not be used:- Do not take Strepsils Original Lozenges if you are allergic to 2,4-dichloro benzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, or any of the ingredients. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Strepsils Original Lozenges if you are taking any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription, or if you are suffering from any other throat problems.
Are there any side effects:- Strepsils Original Lozenges are unlikely to cause significant side effects. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties, and/or loss of consciousness. Always follow the recommended dosage, as Strepsils Original Lozenges can cause stomach discomfort if you take more than you should.
