We understand that when it comes to women’s health problems, you might prefer privacy. At Day Lewis Pharmacy, we offer private consultations with trusted healthcare professionals. Our pharmacists will lend a listening ear, provide impartial advice and recommend treatment options for a whole host of concerns, including period pain, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy and breastfeeding issues, and menopause symptoms. Contraception and sexual health services
We are here to help you care for your reproductive health.
At selected Day Lewis Pharmacies, young people between the ages of 13 and 24 can access free condoms through the C Card Scheme. You can also purchase condoms at any of our pharmacies.
As qualified healthcare professionals, our pharmacists can provide reliable advice about other contraceptive options. You can even access certain forms of the contraceptive pill without a prescription from your local Day Lewis Pharmacy.
Need emergency contraception? You can get the morning after pill at selected pharmacies. If you decide to have an IUD fitted to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse, we can also signpost you to contraception or sexual health clinics or your GP surgery.
Worried about sexually transmitted infections (STIs)? We can offer non-judgemental advice on preventing, identifying and treating a range of STIs. If you’re under 25, you may also be able to benefit from chlamydia screening services at selected Day Lewis Pharmacies, depending on where you live.
Period management
You can come to us for help and advice managing your periods. Whether you’re suffering from period pain, struggling with heavy periods or you want to delay your period for a holiday or special occasion, we’re here for you.
You’ll also find a wide range of period products for sale at our pharmacies, including tampons, and menstrual pads.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, our pharmacists will be able to offer advice about what treatments are safe for you.
We can also provide treatment and lifestyle advice on a range of common pregnancy and breastfeeding issues, such as heartburn, constipation, thrush, cracked nipples, backache, and more.
Menopause support
You can come to us for information and advice on the menopause. We can offer treatment and lifestyle advice to relieve some common symptoms. From mood changes and anxiety to sexual discomfort and recurrent UTIs, we’re there to listen and support you every step of the way.
